Walthamstow Garden Party 2016

Walthamstow Garden Party 2016A free weekend of music, theatre, arts & crafts, food and family activity.

Celebrating Waltham Forest’s creative and cultural communities, this free annual event sees two days of music, crafts, food and family activity delivered in partnership with local organisations. The first three years of the festival (2014-2016) each saw over 30,000 people attending.

Create and the William Morris Gallery have teamed up each year to curate Useful & Beautiful Craft Marquee and Trail, a designer/maker focused programme supported by independent estate agents, The Stow Brothers. Presented both inside the Gallery and outside on the lawns, children and adults can try their hand at ceramics, embroidery, wallpaper design, woodwork, printmaking and more. Last year’s designers and makers included Inky Cuttlefish, Paekakariki, Queenie & Ted, Gayle Chong Kwan, Raewyn Harrison, Rosalind Fowler, Clare TwomeyWoven Air, Daniel Heath, Mehraj ArtsScribble & Smudge, Little Mashers, Creative Biscuit, Significant Seams and E17 Puppet Projects.

The festival’s music programme features international musicians from around the globe alongside the best of local talent across its stages and tents. Further details on the Walthamstow Garden Party programme are available on the website.
