22 June 2010

11 July; 1-6pm
Behind the football pitch, Haggerston Park, 1 Queensbridge Road, E2 8NP, Hackney

This musical extravaganza from Roam kicks off with vintage film soundtrack expert Jonny Trunk, picking up at 1pm with Resurrection Songs. At 2pm, John Niven, author of the acclaimed Britpop fiction Kill Your Friends, will DJ for an hour-long Sunday Service inside the Roam van, while at the same time there will be a Nature Photography Workshop going on outside the van. Then, the Brighton-based baroque pop group the Miserable Rich will regale the audience with punning anecdotes and luxurious tunes from their new album Of Flight and Fury at 3.30pm. Last but definitely not least for this special Sunday Service, Sean Rowley will be presenting Cover to Cover – the paperback edition – the smallest nightclub in London.
