Celebrating Waltham Forest’s creative and cultural communities, this free annual event sees two days of music, crafts, food and family activity delivered in partnership with local organisations. The first three years of the festival (2014-2016) each saw over 30,000 people attending and we’re looking forward to the fourth installment in 2017.
Create and the William Morris Gallery have teamed up this year to curate Be Magnificent Craft Marquee, a celebration of regional designers/makers drawn together in a programme supported by independent estate agents, The Stow Brothers.
Presented outside the gallery on the lawns during the Walthamstow Garden Party, children and adults can try their hand at ceramics, embroidery, textile design, woodwork, printmaking and more. In 2017, the programme includes demos and activities from:
Dash ‘N Dem
Made by Ore
Queenie & Ted
Scribble & Smudge
The festival’s music programme features international musicians from around the globe alongside the best of local talent across its stages and tents. Further details on the full programme are available on the Walthamstow Garden Party website.Delivered by the Barbican in partnership with Create and Waltham Forest Council.
The Be Magnificent Craft Marquee is sponsored by The Stow Brothers.
